
SAFE in Hunterdon Presentation
Please join us at the Christian Education Building on September 21st at 1:00 p.m. to hear from SAFE in Hunterdon about the dynamics of domestic and sexual violence in Hunterdon County and what kind of help is available for victims.
SAFE in Hunterdon is a non-profit organization that provides survivors of domestic and sexual abuse in Hunterdon County with comprehensive services that supply safety, hope, healing, and advocacy. Its programs play an essential role in combating domestic and sexual violence in our county.
SAFE’s contribution in Hunterdon County includes crisis housing and residential support for survivors and their families; an emergency hotline that accepts calls in over 200 languages at any time of day or night; in-person crisis intervention for survivors who present at police stations, the hospital or the courthouse; confidential, trauma-informed counseling; gun violence safety planning and support; legal advocacy and courtroom accompaniment for people seeking restraining orders; and educational prevention & awareness programming. SAFE in Hunterdon helps to assure survivors in distress that they are not alone and that trained, empathetic staff will work with them to overcome abuse.
